Shawarma Rice Recipe





INGREDIENTS 

For the rice :
2 cups basmati rice ( or jasmine rice)
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp kasubha (safflower)
1/4 tsp salt
4 cups of water

For the meat :
500 g minced mutton (or any meat you prepare)
1 medium size onion chopped 
3 cloves of garlic minced 
3 tbsp oyster sauce 
3 tbsp light soysauce
Oil
1 tbsp cumin
Black pepper

For the yogurt garlic sauce :
1 plain yogurt
3 tbsp mayonaise
2 tbsp water or fresh milk
1 tsp sugar
2 gloves of garlic minced 

For the garnish
Cucumber
Tomato
Lettuce
Onion

METHOD 
1. Cook the rice... Put all the ingredients into the rice cooker and cook it for 20 to 30 minutes.

2. In a pan , heat enough oil and then saute the garlic and onion until fragrant.  Put in the meat of ur choice mix well and saute for 2 minutes, and then add the cumin powder stir well. Saute it for 1 minute and then add pepper, oyster sauce, sou sauce,sugar. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

3. For the sauce... just combined all the ingredients  then set aside.

4. To assemble... in a plate put 1 cup of rice and the on the side put the meat and the veggies and lastly drizzle the yogurt garlic sauce on top.. Then serve
