Easy Sausage Cheese Meatballs


These Zesty Sausage Cheese Meatballs are simply scrumptious! It takes only 30 minutes to make these awesome appetizers. Perfect for a meatball sub, too!

Sausage. It’s one of the reasons I’m not a vegetarian.
I have always been captivated by full-flavored, well-spiced sausages. As a kid and even now, I’ll take a sausage pizza over pepperoni any day.
Yeah, I can put away sausage-laden food like nobody’s business.
Thankfully, The Littles inherited this magnificent trait…
It’s no surprise what a winner these Zesty Sausage Cheese Meatballs amongst our brood.
These aren’t your everyday meatballs. These succulent little morsels are made of savory ground sausage, sharp cheddar cheese, and a punch of spices.
Feel free to tone it down or boost it up for the perfect amount of kick.
We love these Zesty Sausage Cheese Meatballs for appetizers, parties, and packed into subs for a tasty lunch or dinner.
I used my favorite Jimmy Dean ground sausage for these meatballs, as well as for many of my breakfast casseroles.

INGREDIENTS

  • 16 oz ground sausage (I use Jimmy Dean All Natural brand)
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (more if you like)
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (more if you like)

DESCRIPTION

These Zesty Sausage Cheese Meatballs are mouthwatering. They’re full of savory goodness from ground sausage, sharp cheddar, and spices. Kick up the spices or tone them down if you like. Great for appetizers, snacks, or use in sub sandwiches.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, hand mix together all ingredients until incorporated. Shape into 36 meatballs.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oven to 375F. Line baking pans with foil. Bake 12-14 minutes or until nicely browned on the outside and cooked through.
  3. Serve as appetizers or in sub sandwiches.
