Blanched Petchay ( bok choi) in Sweet Sauce and Fried Garlic




This recipe is very simple and quick to make,not only that it is healthy and delicious.
Blanching is a cooking process which food usually  vegetable is scalded in boiling water in few minutes then removed and put in a ice water or under cold running water.

INGREDIENTS 
1 pack of petchay
Pepper
3 tbsp sesame oil
6 cloves garlic minced (fried)
2 tbsp sweet sauce
4 tbsp oil
Salt

METHOD
1. Wash  the petchay and set aside.

2. In a pan heat the oil and fry the garlic until it turns to golden brown. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

3. In a pot boil water,when the water starting to boil put in the salt and the petchay blanch it for about 2 minutes.

4. Remove and drain, then immediately put in a ice water or under in a cold running  water drain again.

5. Transfer to a plate. Mix the sesame oil and sweet sauce then pour all over the top of petchay and garnish with fried garlic and pepper. Serve
