Chicken Pastel Recipe




For me chicken pastel is a comfort food with a steam rice. This recipe is simple yet delicious and creamy. Beginners should be able to make this dish at ease. A version of chicken pastel without a crust that u must try and the ingredients are also common that u can found it in any supermarket. 


INGREDIENTS 
500 g chicken breast or skinless chicken thigh fillet
4 cloves garlic minced
1 onion finely chopped 
3/4  cup water 
3/4 cup cream of mushroom
3/4  cup evaporated milk
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
3 pcs hotdog
1 carrot sliced
1 potato sliced 
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 lime


METHOD
1. Wash and sliced the  chicken then pat dry with paper towel.

2. Marinate the chicken with soy sauce and lime.

2. Heat a pot and melt the butter then saute the onion and garlic until garlic soften already.

3. Add in the chicken into the pot and saute until there is no longer pink in color.

4. Add the water and bring to boil. Cover and cook for 20minutes.

5. Put in the hotdog stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add in the potato and carrots then stir. Pour in the evaporated milk  simmer for 2 minutes then add in the bell peppers season with salt and pepper. Cook for 7 minutes.

6. Pour in the cream of mushroom stir well and let it cook for another 3 minute or u til the sauce thickened already.

7. Transfer to a serving ate and serve with steam rice.
