Chicken Satay recipe








This recipe is very easy and simple to  make. Chicken Satay or grilled chicken skewers is marinated in spices and coconut milk and served with a peanut sauce. It served as an appetizer or u can served it with plain rice.

INGREDIENTS
500 g chicken thigh fillet or breast
2 tsp curry powder
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp garlic powder
Salt
3/4 cup coconut milk

FOR THE PEANUT SAUCE
1 full cup of peanut butter (i used the crunchy one )
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp vinegar
3 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup water
3 tbsp lime juice or calamansi

NOTE : Just mix all together the ingredients and microwave it for 20sec and stir well.


METHOD
1.Wash and cut the chicken into cubes or bite size.

2. In a bowl put in the chicken, and mix all the spices and the coconut milk. Stirring it well to be well combined.

3. Cover and leave it for 2 hours. If you are rushing to cook it you can just leave it at least 30minutes.

4.Thread the chicken into the skewers. Brush with canola oil and grill. You can used also a cast iron pan  just spread a little bit oil and cook it. Be sure to turn it occasionally until the chicken cook through.10 to 14 minutes.

5. Serve immediately with peanut sauce.
